He stood in front of her their conversation of general memories of college flowed easily. He smiled several times calling her by name. After a quarter of an hour his smile quirked to the side.
“You really don’t remember me do you?” he asked. Her blush would not let her lie as it crept up her neck to her face.
That was the first hole her memory that was always so clear had a hole a 6 foot 2 blond hole. It was not that long ago that they should have seen each other on a daily basis. And she was not that old. “Mommy Brain I guess” was her weak reply. They laughed and a better remembered friend came over and rescued her.
There was 20 or so adults standing on the bricked patio on front of the admin building. She went to sit on the steps. She knew that these were people she had been to college with. Most had been in an exclusive club with her they had lived in the same dorm and played games together. But she only recognized about 15 of them. She assumed that it was normal physical changes and some spouses that she did not know.
10 years later she knew that there were holes in her head. Large gaps of time. Although she was able to recount some moments of her history with great detail things that she did remember she would surprise friends with the details of a particular day.
She would from time to time realize that she could not remember something that she always known the name of the boy she had walked to school with in kindergarten, her phone number she had grown up with, her oldest friend’s pets name.
She decided to write down all her memories the people the places as she really remembered them, right or wrong they needed to be recorded.
She bought paper and pens she bought new software for her computer It was time to write it down after all her kids would want to know.

The Real Wonder Woman
As any good geek my son had strict rules about his super heroes.
Tonight Big Bang Theory had all the actors dress up as the Justice League.
As he surveyed the costumes he looked at me and said:
"That isn't a good Wonder Woman costume. Wonder Woman doesn't have a cape"
I responded: "She does some times"
As any one of my age would do I found a Linda Carter picture:
To which he says: "That not the real Wonder Woman, Mom"
I guess I am getting old.
This is his version of the real wonder woman
At least it is not Megan Fox
But I think she is a pretty hot Wonder Woman
Dirk Gently
I think I have mentioned Douglas Adams Right Ok I just found out bout a new TV programme (no that is not a typo) on the BBC about Dirk Gently! It starts tonight in the UK I think That is what the BBc seems to be saying....I am exited! I want to see it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wqfl2

Six times seven
Today I celebrated my 42nd Birthday...
And my Husband in his great knowledge realized that this was an auspicious day and that for a girl with a love for Doulas Adams her 42nd Birthday was important and should be gifted a ppropriately.
The hardest part he says was that I have a lot of H2G2 swag as it is.
So after careful research and consideration I got from him:
"Douglas Adams at the BBC" a 3 CD set of a look back on Doulas life presented by Simon Jones The first Arthur Dent
The 2005 "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy" Dvd
A CD of a performance in 1995 that Douglas Adams did in London of some reading from the famed 5 book trilogy.
"the Deeper Meaning of Liff: a dictionary of things there aren't any words for yet - but ought to be" by Doulas Adams and John Lloyd
A pronounce this a great selection.
My son picked out a Christmas Stocking with a Santa on it and a Santa Spud (I collect Santas so this is nice)
My daughter got me a d20 necklace and <a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/womens/bdda/">This Shirt</a>
And they all chose me the next Glee Dvd....
Happy Birthday to me.
In other Birthday new I watched the final episode of the BBC Sherlock today and I am now mad at Steven Moffat....He needs to make more NOW!

A couple of shorts
1.
Her foot steps crunched as she walked along the frozen snow. The shushing of her fur robes muffled them. But she felt unaware of the only sounds as taken as she was by the tiny crystals floating through the air glinting and gleaming around her. Some giving the briefest hint of brilliant color as the sun light hit them. She held her hands and arms out to let them land on her, but they would float away or disappear as they got near to her.
2.
Once she had shut off the TV she realized that the sounds of metal dragging on concrete was not from the broadcasted city scene but out side her own suburban door. At 10 in the morning this was an unexpected sound. It stopped as she stood. The next sound to pierce the quite of her suburban home was the ringing tinkle of the glasses in her cabinet as they rattled against each other. She felt the rumble below her feet and the floor bucked and she fell as she was hit by a wall of sound.

In the Airport
Prompt from Daily Writing Practice
Los Angeles 10AM August 15th 1985. The early morning August sun beat down on the sidewalk and the white terminal as she sat perched on the trunk. He sisters leaned on other various pieces of luggage that incase the belonging that they were taking with them for the next 2 years. Their Parents had gone to get a couple of carts. A tear leaked from her eye. She felt weak and had not slept in abed for two nights her bed went to the salvation army two weeks ago and she wouldn’t return to her family home to live. The last two years before college would be far away.
She could hear the planes taking off and landing on the other side of the building. Cars were coming and going dropping off vacationers and the early business commuters. Tomorrow morning she would be in England. A second tear leaked from her eye
London 10AM August 15th 1987. She waved good bye to her parents and Justin. Her trunk and suit case were checked and her over stuffed carry on was over her shoulder her purse, ticket and passport clutched in her hands through security she clutched them. Nerves jangled her and she felt weak with lack of sleep. On the other side the security person complained that she had too much stuff in her bag and that it made their job more difficult during the searching. When she stepped away she realized that she did not have her ticket and passport. She had needed them to get this far but she didn't have them now. She searched through her purse and her bag. Tears began to stream down her face. Her first flight alone and she had already lost her ticket and passport. She wasn’t ready for this. A Security person cam and asked what was wrong. She croaked out her problem and after escorting her from one person to another and repeating what had happened a call came from a plane on the runway that someone had found them. She was escorted to the plane given another ticket and sent to Chicago.

December
Prompt from The One-Minute Writer
I have rule rules for December and the “holiday” season. You see my Birthday is December 8th and I hated having combined Christmas and birthday gifts. I may have under stood if My birthday was Christmas week. I also hated having my Birthday parties (the few I had) decorated by a Christmas tree. So The main rule is the tree does not go up until December 9th. There are others but this is paramount.
