To tired to Finish...

I have three peices below that I hope to finish one day but to show that I have been writing I wanted to psot something:

1)

Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It's the most exhausting time of the year
I’m  sure there'll be a lot of snow
But before you shovel have a bottle beer

2)

My Santa Story

Through the fog of sleep I can hear the gentel rap rap at a door. It sounds too close and too hollow. I open my eyes and the white of the wall is startling.

“Vicki?” come his voice through the door.

I remember that My boyfriend had picked my sister and I up about 9:00 last night from my Grandmother’s house. It had been another depressing and sickening Thanksgiving. It was a rescue. Now I was waking up in his childhood room in his bed, His mother insisted that he give up his room for me.

“Dan?” I manage to say though I still felt a sort of physical fog.

“Can I come in?”

“Sure.”

I manage to pull my self on to my elbow as he comes in.

He sits on the side of the bed and kisses me on the forehead. “I have to go to work for a bit but My Mom would love your help putting out the Christmas stuff. Drew, Rich and I are all out and she would like to do it with someone.” He says with an apologetic tone.

“That sound like fun, actually. I haven’t gotten to put out Christmas stuff for three years.” I say. He looks surprised. “I’d rather spend the day with you we get so little time together but I’m fine and it is definitely better than being at my grandmothers.”

3)
Standing listen to the chuthnk from the pump and hearin the hiss of liquid into one tube from another waiting for the envetual sound of the level of liquid rising the cold begins to bite through the back of my jeans and through my long under wear.  My hair although not damp feels as though it is freezing on my head and I miss my hat that is sitting on a chair by my diningroom table.

let me know what you think.

  1. 1) Cute start. I am more interested in the other's though.

    2) In the little bit that you wrote, I am already interested in knowing why Grandmother's house is so awful. Why hasn't she put Christmas stuff out in 3 years? I take it there is a deeper reason than lack of motivation or desire. This is my favorite of the three. I hope to see this one continues soon.... even if it means a change of holidays to Easter so that the emotions are more present. It's good!

    3) I like this. Lots of good description. Not enough to get a good feel for it though. I'm sure that comment is expected.

  2. I am kind of stuck on the first on lost the momentum with the last rip of wrapping papaer I think.

Funny I had not thought of talking any more about my grandmother's house. Maybe I should tone it down in that bit.. this is meat to be about how i got my first santa for my collection.

the third was just some thoughs while pumping gas I think it can be a part of something. I was getting wrapped up in the sound of the pump and the feel of the cold.

  3. 1) ha ha. or wine.
    2) got lost on who is who and how old they are. Interesting and would like to know what is so bad about grandma's.
    3) ha ha. Liking where you put me, watching this person freeze. We know he/she is freezing because he/she is thinking about that hat on a chair by the diningroom table. Nice descriptive words and all in ONLY two sentences. WOW!
