From The One-Minute Writer:
Education: Describe, in a minute, the ideal education for children in 2010.
In one minute I came up with:
I heard something about education the other day. “we are educating children to day to work with things that have yet to be invented.” To make the ideal education with this in mind children need to be exposed and presented with the most up to date technology we have. Unfortunately in this country children are not considered important enough to be given that. Such a sad dichotomy.
After one minute more thoughts came to mind:
At the same time children should be taught history. Because without a foundation of history we are doomed to repeat it’s mistakes. But there needs to be a strong sense of the basic of reading writing and math, because all other subjects grow out of those.
Each person learns in a slightly different manner so education needs to be flexible and adjustable to each and every learner.

I really, really like this Vicki! Wow. You said it very well. I thought about this prompt for a long time and couldn't come up with an answer that I could fit into an hour, not to mention a minute.
ReplyDeleteVery, very well done!
