Hour
"When does an hour seem longest to you? When does it seem shortest? (We're talking awake time, not asleep time!) "
My shortest hour is the hour right before school and work wher I am busy trying to get my stuf ready and my kids and my husband ou the door on time with everything they need and dressed appropriately. There never seems to be enough time in that sixty minute period.
The longest hour is that hour (or hours) that are spent getting home from where every we have been. It is long weather the kids are crabby in the back or sound asleep. The desire for our own space make the time crawl.

I thought about this prompt and couldn't really figure it out. Having read yours, I totally agree with you. Those are also my shortest and longest hours.
