One of My children's kindergarten and first grade teachers traditions id the surprise box. A child is sent home with a white metal lunch box and a pad of paper. On the pad of paper are the instructions that they are to pick an object in the house and put it in the box and then finish the sentences on the next blank piece of paper with out telling what the object is. The sentence starts are:
1. It looks like
2. It sounds like
3. It smells like
4. It fells like
5. It tastes like
6. It reminds me of (edit late Thursday night for this important one)
7. It makes me feel
8. It is
These are what we always want to answer when we write.
So whats in your surprise box?
