Yellow is the color of the lemon cut in half and squeezed for its juice to make the lemonade for the summer stand sold for 25 cents in a dixie cup.
Yellow is the color of transition. Yellow is the color of home and brightness. Yellow is the color of flowers and stinging bees. Yellow has a complexity of beauty.

I like this! It is truly poetic without feeling forced into that category.
ReplyDeleteWhat I am most impressed by is the descriptions. Very beautiful and well though out. The only two that didn't feel like they held the same rhythm are the last two in the second stanza. (The color of honey and lemon). If you decide to edit this at some point, I would leave everything else alone and just look at those two lines.
